Volker Weininger - Filmriss

A Sitzungspräsident (carnival club president) searches for his diploma in the basement, where he keeps his entire life: certificates, awards, photographs, love letters, parking tickets - everything. While rummaging through an old box, he recalls the stages of his life: first day of school, first Kölsch beer, first kiss (all on the same day!), wedding, children, club outings, and of course his friend Hermann, who lives at the bare minimum of intelligence.

In his second solo programme, Volker Weininger takes us on an autobiographical journey through his eventful life. Many assume such a man was always already a president - but that's not true: until his fifth year of life, he was only vice-president! That's just one of many surprising revelations the president uncovers about himself. And with each beer, there are more. Some things he no longer remembers exactly - filmriss, after all. Fortunately, there's the box and a few eyewitnesses from the era who can help. But where is that blasted diploma?
