After beginning guitar at age 11, Diehlmann attended the vocational music school in Dinkelsbühl and subsequently studied classical guitar at the Kassel Academy of Music. Since 1993, he has worked as a freelance live musician, guitar teacher, arranger, composer, and session guitarist for numerous studio productions (including blue valley Filmmusik, Sony Music Deutschland, and da-music). Before founding his own band, the guitarist and singer toured with various ensembles.
