The good ones pass away and leave us alone with casting drivel. All that's left is to hide with our old LPs and CDs and mourn the good old days with real singers and bands. Or perhaps be convinced otherwise:

There is someone who comes so close to the original that one can't help but ask: is this the real deal?

Wolfgang Sponholz slipped into the role of his idol Joe Cocker with such perfection and skill that you could believe the singer, who died in December 2014, had risen again "with a little help from my friends". For JOE, Sponholz assembled a nine-piece band of seasoned musicians from the northern German scene, entirely devoted to the Cocker phenomenon.

In a compact show, from the primal Woodstock scream to "Officer and a Gentleman", the spirit of the singer with arguably the greatest rock and soul voice Britain ever produced is conjured up: pure magic... in memoriam Joe Cocker!

Parking: Parking in Wörsdorf is becoming increasingly problematic. Please respect the signage and do not block any driveways. Large parking areas are available in front of supermarkets at the entrances to Idstein and Walsdorf. Penderparkplatz P1 at Wermutsgraben above the train station is not far - from there, either through the small underpass or staying on the road, always downhill, you'll reach Scheuer directly. Many guests arrive by train - that's of course the best option!
