JOE - Joe Cocker Tribute

Wolfgang Sponholz takes the stage with his nine-piece band JOE - seasoned musicians from the north German scene who have dedicated themselves entirely to the phenomenon of Joe Cocker. The SHZ - Landeszeitung wrote on 27 December 2016: "Sponholz slipped so perfectly and skillfully into the role of his idol Joe Cocker that you could believe the singer, who passed away in December 2014, had risen again 'with a little help from my friends'."

The compact show conjures the spirit of the man with arguably the greatest rock and soul voice Britain ever produced - from the primal Woodstock scream to 'An Officer and a Gentleman'. In memoriam Joe Cocker.

Parking in Wörsdorf is tight: follow the signs and don't block any driveways. Large car parks are available in front of the supermarkets at the entrances to Idstein and Walsdorf - from there it's a short walk. Alternatively, use the park-and-ride lot P1 at Wermutsgraben above the train halt, then head through the small underpass or walk down the road directly to the Scheuer. Many guests also arrive by train.
