Concert "Ich weiß ein Land"

One of Germany's most popular male choirs comes to the Zentralgasthof in Weinböhla for an evening of song. In their 99th year, around 75 enthusiastic members of the Sächsischer Bergsteigerchor "Kurt Schlosser" will perform a lively and varied programme that also gives pause for thought.

A deep attachment to their homeland runs through the set list - from new and old, German and international mountain, hiking and folk songs to classical melodies. The choir's repertoire has always been broad: traditional mountain and hiking songs, German and international folk music, and works by great composers. In recent years the ensemble has also embraced popular music, offering its own take on songs by Neil Young, Michael Jackson and The Cranberries. Expect a mix of beloved favourites and the occasional surprise.
