Swan Lake - Ballet in 2 Acts — Friedrich-Ebert-Halle Harburg, Hamburg

Magical light effects on stage

Selected dance scenes are brought to life by carefully integrated LED elements in the costumes. Glittering tutus, shimmering lights, and atmospheric electric candles create a fairy-tale atmosphere that makes the Christmas magic visible. The combination of classical ballet, narrative accompaniment, and modern lighting design makes this a perfect Christmas performance for the whole family - festive, moving, and full of magic.

Swan Lake is Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's first ballet composition from 1875-1877, regarded by ballet audiences and music lovers worldwide as the greatest and rightfully the most popular and most frequently performed classical-romantic fairy-tale ballet in the international ballet repertoire. As the famous ballerina Galina Ulanova noted: "the most beautiful ballet one can imagine".

The worldwide success of Swan Lake rests not only on Tchaikovsky's engaging and stirring music, but also on the now world-famous choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov from the St. Petersburg model production of 1895. The dance ensemble "Usti", which has won multiple awards, is now known throughout Europe and is regarded as a training ground for young, talented artists. The ensemble remains true to the classical staging of ballet tradition while creating its own unique version of this classic. The high art of dance, woven into a romantic love story, creates a fairy tale for the whole family and draws the viewer into a world of dreams and reality.
