Ryan Young - Scottish fiddle folk of raw intensity

Ryan Young is widely regarded as one of the most compelling instrumentalists of the younger generation of Scottish folk musicians. The fiddler is known for his extraordinary expressiveness: with a powerful tone and intense phrasing, he turns every piece into an emotional narrative. The Scottish press has already called him "a force of nature". Concert tours have taken the 35-year-old as far as Australia and the United States.

In his playing, Scottish and Irish tradition merge into a distinctive, timeless sound - at once archaic and contemporary. His third studio album, produced with Irish fiddler Martin Hayes, was released in May 2026.
