Mahler's monumental Fourth Symphony on the Stadthalle stage? Absolutely - given the right arrangement. Klaus Simon has adapted the famous symphony for just over two dozen players, a scoring that brings out the music's transparency beautifully. The "heavenly" soprano solo in the finale is sung by Simona Šaturová, who also opens the evening with arias by Georg Friedrich Handel.
