Albrecht Mayer is a German oboist who has been principal oboist of the Berliner Philharmoniker since 1992. He has recorded several albums for Deutsche Grammophon and performed with top conductors worldwide. Alongside his orchestral role, he maintains an active solo and chamber music career.

About the venue: Kulturpalast

The Kulturpalast is a concert hall in the centre of Dresden, built between 1966 and 1969 as a multipurpose cultural venue for the GDR. After a major renovation completed in 2017, it became the permanent home of the Dresdner Philharmonie, featuring a new vineyard-style concert hall with outstanding acoustics. The building's distinctive socialist-modernist facade has been preserved as a listed monument.
