Great Series | Beethoven 5

Julia Fischer performs on violin at Alte Oper in Frankfurt on Thursday, 17 September 2026 at 19:00. The evening centres on Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, whose famous opening bars launch the season marking the 200th anniversary of the composer's death. The hr-Sinfonieorchester under conductor Alain Altinoglu performs the Symphony, while Fischer presents the rarely heard First Violin Concerto by Henryk Wieniawski. The programme includes the world premiere of Esteban Benzecry's new work Latinthoven V. This is one of three German dates on the artist's tour across 2026 and 2027.
