JAZZKÜCHE - A Combination of Brass and Rhythm
C.ulturgut, Flensburg, Germany
17.5 €
A blend of rhythm section and brass instruments - that's the creative heart of Jazzküche. The musical recipes are diverse: well-known jazz standards sit alongside fresh arrangements and individual interpretations. The stylistic range spans Latin, Afro, R&B, funk and salsa through to blues and waltz.
Jazzküche draws inspiration from musical giants like Santana, Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai, Compay Segundo, Astrud Gilberto, Herbie Hancock and Duke Ellington, as well as lesser-known musicians. A trademark feature is the spontaneously woven solo improvisations, where each instrument gets its own spotlight. Every band member contributes their distinctive voice to the ensemble sound.
Seven musicians from North Frisia deliver a well-spiced sound, infectious groove and an extra helping of playing joy, giving audiences diverse listening pleasure and the urge to dance. Peer Oehlschlägel (drums), Alex Weiß (bass), Benny Milord (guitar), Hans Carstensen (piano), Stefanie Brodersen (alto and soprano saxophone), Schorsch Eisenberg (trombone), Lars Brodersen (baritone saxophone and trumpet).
