10 years of Akaishi Daiko Freiburg (traditional Japanese drums) - a celebration in the spirit of Japan

Ten years ago, Akaishi Daiko brought the powerful rhythms of Japanese taiko to Freiburg - and ever since, this sunny city of canals has been shaking to the beat of Japanese drums.

For this anniversary, we're going all out: a colourful celebration inspired by traditional Japanese matsuri festivals. From 16:00, the gates open: enjoy hearty and sweet Japanese food, browse lovingly crafted stalls, and soak up the atmosphere of a real matsuri.
