Gerd Dudenhöffer Plays Heinz Becker DOD - Life Is the End

DOD - Das Leben ist das Ende was abruptly halted in March 2020 by the pandemic. In spring 2025 the show returns in a revised version, driven by the handful of performances that took place back then and the steady demand that has followed ever since.

Gerd Dudenhöffer plays Heinz Becker, who comes home from a funeral - black suit, 5 calla lilies in hand that he forgot to throw into the grave. Now they sit on the kitchen table. The familiar routine has collapsed, everyday life is falling apart, and Heinz slowly begins to brood, reflect, and work through what has happened.

DOD is theatrical "cabaret noir" - tightly directed, black and white, light and dark, skillfully holding the balance between tragedy and comedy. Tragicomic - because Heinz is Heinz. "Dead certain".
