Giuseppe Verdi's "La Traviata", sung in Italian, in an arrangement for chamber orchestra by Pocket Publications. Duration: approximately 2 hours with intermission.

The Munich association "Voilà! Opera! e.V." presents Verdi's opera in a classical production with simple staging. The plot follows the noble courtesan Violetta Valéry, who finds great love in Alfredo Germont. Despite her tuberculosis, she gains new hope - until Alfredo's father forces her to leave him. She returns to her former life, and only when Alfredo learns the truth and comes back does she die reconciled in his arms.

Soprano Maria Czeiler embodies Violetta, while tenor Rodrigo Trosino - internationally active and award-winning - sings Alfredo. Jan Bukowski appears as his father, with Alicja Bukowska, Maria Tarsia, Eberhard Lorenz and Lukas Eder in other roles. The eleven-member chamber orchestra is conducted by Armando Merino, who works at the Bavarian State Opera and the Magdeburg Philharmonic, among others.
