Christmas Memories of Manfred Krug

Manfred Krug's unique CD "Der Weihnachts-Krug" inspired this programme of carefully chosen Christmas songs and stories. Uschi Brüning, awarded the German Jazz Prize in 2025, brings depth and soul to the songs with her warm voice. Charles Brauer, acting legend and gifted audiobook narrator, reads Christmas texts in major and minor keys.

The musical backbone is provided by three musicians who shared the stage with Manfred Krug for many years: Wolfgang "Zicke" Schneider on drums, Tom Götze on bass, and Andreas Bicking on piano and saxophone. Together they create a finely nuanced sound somewhere between jazz, swing, and Christmas reflection.
