Ensemble Utak | Hannah Dienes-Williams | R. Marino Arcaro

Under the direction of composer Rafael Marino Arcaro, soprano Hannah Dienes-Williams and Ensemble Utak bring to Germany a concert consisting entirely of world premieres, spanning a century of Latin American music between 1927 and 2026. Works from Brazil, Chile, Peru, Cuba, and Mexico unite early modernism with contemporary voices in a cross-generational encounter.

At the heart of the programme is the world premiere of "what i learned from manoel de barros: / o que aprendi com manoel de barros:" (op. 28, 2026) - Marino Arcaro's setting of Manoel de Barros' poetry collection from 1998, created as a MusikFonds commission.
