In 2026, one of the most successful theatre festivals in eastern Brandenburg once again invites audiences to a cheerful summer production at the new Hof-Theater in Bad Freienwalde.

Join a musical journey through the sunnier side of life - summer, sunshine and the sea! It's a trip back to the era of German Schlager hits from the 1950s, those kitsch and life-affirming songs of the post-war economic boom, wrapped up in a little story. A sweet belly dancer dreams in the moonlight of dancing with two little Italians until dawn.

Find out what happens to mother Elfriede, father Ernst and daughter Cornelia on their Italian holiday - and what on earth the garden gnome has to do with it all.
