Richness from constraint, a playground for ideas: Arensky's quartet adds two cellos to violin and viola, drawing out captivating tonal colours from the ensemble. Schumann conjures with sound - more surprising and poetic than in any of his symphonies. This chamber music has set the spirit of its creators free! We celebrate it to ring in the new season.
