Jeremy Pelt Quartet

Jeremy Pelt has been named "Rising Star" trumpeter by the prestigious American Downbeat magazine five years running and is currently at the height of his creative powers. "Our Community Will Not Be Erased" is Pelt's seventeenth release on Highnote Records. He has assembled a stellar rhythm section around him: three-time Grammy-nominated Orrin Evans on piano, alongside the legendary pairing of Lenny White (known for his work with Miles Davis and Chick Corea/Return To Forever) on drums and Buster Williams on bass. Williams is rightly regarded as a jazz icon, having collaborated with virtually every major name the genre has produced. The album features Pelt's own compositions, celebrating the virtues of the African-American community and its many contributions to the fabric of the United States, while also making a statement against the current political climate in the country.
