Bill Frisell Trio & Greg Tardy

The Bill Frisell Trio is one of those rare jazz ensembles you can identify within seconds, purely by sound. That's down to Frisell's distinctive tone and playing style, his personal approach to composition, and the long-standing partnership of the three musicians: Frisell, Morgan, and Royston. Joining them this summer is Gregory Tardy - a member of the Elvin Jones Jazz Machine in the early 90s - who is both an exceptional saxophonist and a gifted clarinettist, touring Europe with the trio as a special guest.

Together they cover a wide range of material: Frisell's own compositions, timeless standards, and folk classics, all approached with lyrical sensitivity and adventurous interplay. The deep musical bond built over years of touring together makes for spontaneous, conversational performances full of nuance and surprise.
