Occrasy are one of the most exciting new names in unfiltered guitar music from Sweden, currently turning heads with high-energy live shows. The band's deliberately analogue approach to music translates into raw energy, explosive performances and no-frills rock'n'roll.
In May they release their debut album "Good To Go", followed by a 15-date German tour in early autumn.
"Hold your f****g bladders Germany, we're good to go! The question is: are you? We're about to hit the road for three weeks and show all y'all some lovin'" - the band announces.
The young indie-rock outfit from Sweden consists of vocalist Alfonz Lindström, guitarists Aurell Poetri and Dexter Swärd, bassist Elvira Lööf, and drummer Filip Samuelsson. Just over a year ago the band was barely getting started: five friends from the Swedish city of Borlänge who began jamming together in a basement to pass the time.
Their musical influences are clear - The Beatles and The Hellacopters - and their music teacher Gustaf Norén of Mando Diao played a particularly formative role. Despite these inspirations, the band quickly knew they wanted to tell their own stories above all else. "We give everything for rock'n'roll" - says vocalist Alfonz about what drives them all.
Since releasing their debut single "Local Coke" last year, Occrasy have been conquering more and more Swedish stages, building a reputation as a compelling live act. Their explosive stage presence puts them among the most compelling voices in the new wave of raw guitar music currently sweeping Sweden.
