The ensemble Die Oberkrainer from Begunje was founded in 2007 and is led by Nici Legat, a musician with genuine oberkrainer DNA. He himself performed on stage with Slavko Avsenik and was a member of the legendary Original Jungen Oberkrainer. With extensive experience, passion, and deep commitment to tradition, he brings the music of his great idol back to the stage.

The classic oberkrainer quintet with vocal duo performs the greatest hits from Slavko Avsenik's repertoire - including songs like "Trompetenecho", "Auf der Autobahn", and "Es ist so schön, ein Musikant zu sein". The programme is rounded out by original compositions that fit seamlessly with the style and carry forward the unique sound of this musical tradition.
