Oberkrainer aus Begunje - Die Oberkrainer kommen!

"Die Oberkrainer kommen!" is a musical tribute to Slavko Avsenik, the inventor of Oberkrainer music. The ensemble Die Oberkrainer aus Begunje was founded in 2007 and is led by Nici Legat - a musician who performed on stage with Slavko Avsenik himself and was a member of the Original Jungen Oberkrainer.

The classic Oberkrainer quintet with vocal duo plays the best-known pieces from Avsenik's repertoire, including "Trompetenecho", "Auf der Autobahn" and "Es ist so schon, ein Musikant zu sein". The programme is rounded out by original compositions that fit seamlessly into the same style.

The ensemble's motto: "Music is our life".
