Unlimited Culture - Special Guest: Tóke

When you think of Bavarian music, images of leather-pants-wearing horn players inevitably come to mind. But you rarely picture pulsing offbeats, flowing dreadlocks, or soulful Bavarian-reggae tunes. Unlimited Culture has earned recognition far beyond the classical reggae scene through their energetic live shows. The four musicians led by frontman and vocalist Lenny Souljah captivate audiences year after year with their original compositions in Bavarian and English. More dialect, more stories from life, sharp social critique, and the occasional traditional Bavarian song - this is the world their music inhabits. Unlimited Culture are ready to take the stage again and hungrier than ever to return to European venues and breathe new life into weary dancing feet.
Special Guest: Tóke
Tóke, a globe-trotter, brings his current EP "This Is Stupid" with its tropical, eccentric sound. He is known for the warm, honest, and euphoric atmosphere he creates at his concerts. Tóke leads a vibrant life. Born in the tropical city of Jakarta, Indonesia, at age nine he moved to a small village of 3,000 people near Hamburg - growing up between Nasi Goreng and butter bread. Many changes were not easy, but they shaped his defining trait: versatility. This Indonesian-German artist is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and video editor who blends reggae, singer-songwriter, hip-hop, and pop.
