Max Baumann is done with love. After his wife threw him out to pursue a future with their couples therapist, he has made up his mind: he is staying single forever!

What keeps him going is a healthy dose of order, cleanliness, and strict rules. Then his brother Tom moves in - a fun-loving womanizer for whom loyalty is as foreign a concept as coasters or properly hung towels. The result is a perfect clash of two very different ways of life, and the chaos writes itself.

While Tom frightens off one woman after another (often stumbling over their names before he even gets started) and Max desperately tries to hold his rules together, Kerstin suddenly appears: Max's colleague, his landlady - and someone who shares his passion for tidiness.

Amid household crises, embarrassing mix-ups, and one very peculiar carnival night, Max's firm resolutions begin to crack...
