People, animals, sensations: the world of the circus ring holds no interest for Heidelberger HardChor. Quite the opposite: under the title "Not My Circus!" the male vocal ensemble under conductor Bernhard Bentgens once again treads the tightrope of masculine destinies. There the singers balance between intellectual pirouettes and emotional blows, juggling their own existential themes: wanderlust and relationship frustration, emotion management and blow-dried hair, the office struggle for the milk-frothing machine, and ultimately the question: how do you even pronounce Stracciatella with a full mouth?

In doing so, HardChor conjures the magic of music with songs by Queen, David Bowie, Danger Dan, Gianna Nannini, Rio Reiser, Herbert Grönemeyer, Bernhard Bentgens, Bill Withers, and Fine Young Cannibals.
