JC and the Tree - (AUS) - Folk-Rock, Roots (Seated Concert)

The folk-rock duo "JC and the Tree" hails from Australia's Sunshine Coast. Their lyrics are rich with nature-inspired analogies; fans describe their style as complex yet accessible. Sonically, they blend soaring violins, lush harmonies, piano, and handcrafted acoustic guitars into a sound that weaves together folk, rock, roots, and contemporary music.

Founder JC has been touring since age 19 and has performed six times at major festivals including Glastonbury (UK), WOMAD (UK), Bluesfest (Australia), and Splendour in the Grass (Australia). Both members have worked as full-time musicians in Australia for three years; their previous festival appearances include Woodford Folk Festival, Airlie Beach Festival, and Caloundra Music Fest.

Lead singer Jesse built both of his acoustic guitars by hand - the wood comes from a tree felled during a cyclone, and he personally carried out every step from timber harvesting to the finished instrument. After shows, he often takes time to chat with the audience. The duo also prioritizes sustainably produced merchandise.
