Marco Tschirpke - "Musik-Kabarett"

Marco Tschirpke presents his Lapsuslieder and condensed comedy. The artist draws his wit from contemporary life and history. What he brings to light from past epochs illuminates many aspects of the present day. He questions what others take for granted, and through his short songs and sometimes cheeky rhymes, he uncovers the universal in the particular. His stage features historical figures and contemporary artists alike, maritime commerce and space travel, friends and foes.

Tschirpke mocks, judges, and serves up surprising insights into the course of events. A ray of his humour lights up those corners of existence that public debate overlooks.

Since 2008, Marco Tschirpke has published poetry with wit and music albums. On stages across Germany, he appears as a skilled pianist and interpreter of his own verses. His body of work is adorned with numerous awards, including the German Prize for Small Arts (2018).
