Hans in Luck - Tom Teuer
Albert-Einstein-Forum, Kaarst, Germany

Hans has served his master for seven years and receives a lump of gold as his reward. Whistling cheerfully, he sets off toward his mother - but the lump is heavy, so Hans trades it for a horse, the horse for a cow, the cow for a pig, the pig for a goose, and the goose for a whetstone. The whetstone falls into the well as he drinks - and Hans, free from all burdens, returns to his mother as the happiest man under the sun.
Theater Tom Teuer performs this fairy tale about possession, exchange, letting go, and love for one's mother - with accordion accompaniment and set in fragrant straw. Hans encounters a galloping black horse with a rapping rider, a bleating shepherd with a stubborn cow, a chef with a new kitchen and a dancing pig, a cackling maid with a singing goose, and an invisible scissors-grinder.
A delight for children from age 4, in 5 scenes made from six bales of straw, with a pair of rubber boots, two sunflowers, and a three-pronged pitchfork.
