Auftakt 4

Chief conductor Michael Francis leads the fourth Auftakt concert with a programme drawn from the early modern era.

The evening features Charles Ives' The unanswered question (1908), Igor Stravinsky's Petrushka (burlesque in 4 scenes, 1911), and Alexander Scriabin's Le Poème de l'extase (1908), op. 54. Pianist Joseph Moog joins as soloist to perform Sergei Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 1 in D-flat major, op. 10.
