The Pfalzbau is Ludwigshafen's main cultural centre, opened in 1968 on the banks of the Rhine. It houses a large theatre stage, a concert hall and several smaller event spaces under one roof. The programme spans opera, ballet, musicals, classical concerts and touring productions, making it the cultural anchor of the city.
