On 19 September 2026, Börse Coswig hosts a special tribute: to mark the 80th birthday of the beloved East German star Achim Mentzel, his friends and fellow artists celebrate his life and legacy.

Achim Mentzel was a warm, witty and versatile entertainer who won over generations with his charm and genuine warmth. As a host, singer and showman, he left a lasting mark on East German entertainment - above all through cult programmes like "Achims Hitparade" and countless TV appearances.

The evening features a varied programme of music, memories and personal stories. Among the performers are Uwe Jensen and Linda Feller, as well as Andreas Holm, Hans-Jürgen Beyer, Claudia und Carmen and Gerd Christian.
