The Jeremy Day Acoustic Group — Bürgerzentrum Alter Schlachthof, Soest

The Jeremy Days were one of the few German bands to break through to MTV in the late eighties, an era when the channel was reserved for the biggest acts. Their song "Brand New Toy" became an evergreen that still gets regular radio play today.

Their blend of British pop and American art-rock brought them together with legendary producers - Clive Langer, Alan Winstanley (who worked with Madness and Elvis Costello) and Fred Maher (who produced Lou Reed and Lloyd Cole) - across ten years and five albums. The band played Germany's biggest clubs and toured the UK. By 1995, they had sold over half a million records.

No one believed a reunion was possible. Yet after 24 years of silence, The Jeremy Days returned in 2019 to a sold-out Hamburg Dock and delivered a concert "for the history books of pop music," as German television NDR commented. The band around singer Dirk Darmstaedter was back. Would they stay?

On 25 March 2022, the energetic new album "Beauty in Broken" was released - the band's first new record since 1995. It reached number 21 on the German album charts!

Following an extensive German tour in autumn 2023, the band returns as "The Jeremy Days Acoustic Group" for selected "unplugged" shows. Classic jdays songs, tracks from the new album and chosen "deepcuts" in a relaxed, acoustic setting, plus stories and anecdotes from 35 years of band history.
