"Pure beauty is the shared tone of Trygve Seim and Frode Haltli. There is something folk-like in this music - points where secular and sacred music meet in dance." So wrote DIE ZEIT in 2008 about the duo's debut album, titled Yeraz. This statement holds true today, though the relationship between the saxophonist and accordionist has become even more fluid and somnambulistic in the meantime. On Our Time, Trygve and Frode exchange counterpoint-driven glances, lyrical crescendos and explorations of musical texture with grace, eloquence and utmost nuance. In this way they present a programme of original compositions, improvisations and thoughtful reinterpretations of traditional songs from Ukraine and northern India. Recorded in the Ascension Church in Munich in 2023 and produced by Manfred Eicher, Our Time unites the tone of the saxophonist and accordionist in a truly surreal and magical dance.

Zsófia Boros

Among all guitarists, she stands out for her tonal sensitivity. Zsófia Boros' music seems to float, carries you along, opens doors and tells of sonic spaces. On 'El ultimo aliento' she devoted herself exclusively to compositions by her guitarist colleagues [...] Boros' sovereign playing ennobles them all. With Mathias Duplessy (*1972) comes a beautiful opening: sustained arpeggios accompanied by gleaming solo tones that give rise to a romantic quality. Overall, one has the sense that the Spanish guitar idiom is being reborn. [...] All of this is played with captivating beauty - like an unfolding narrative.
