Ralf Senkel - "Der hat gesessen!"
LWL-Industriemuseum Ziegelei Lage, Germany
25 €
A character, an observer, sits and tells stories. An everyday philosopher. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes so sharp in his observations that you feel like you're in a cabaret. Ralf Senkel wanders between the boundaries of comedy and cabaret, and although he always sits on stage, he doesn't claim any genre permanently. It's up to the audience to recognize this balancing act. Armed linguistically and at heart with a generous dose of Rhineland wit, he takes you into his small world. In his village he's known as a colorful character - not least because of his unmistakably stylish jacket, which he really always wears.
Yet he has no "metabolic problems," according to his own words, even though that's precisely why people attribute them to him. His so-called "professional inactivity" gives him time to observe. That's why his stories emerge from everyday life - sometimes quirky, sometimes serious, but always sharply observed and crucially: incredibly funny. Unintentional comedy? "No, I do this completely on purpose!" Ralf Senkel is, among other things, winner of the Tegtmeiers Erben Audience Prize 2023, the Dattelner Prize, and the Kremenholler Prize for small-scale art. He is also a regular guest on Mitternachtsspitzen on WDR Television and appears in the shows of Quatsch Comedy Club.
Experience this no-longer-quite-secret tip of the comedy and cabaret scene in his first solo programme - "Der hat gesessen!" Ralf Senkel comes, sits, and tells stories... and afterward you'll say: "Der hat gesessen!" - promised.
