Murzarellas - Music-Puppet-Comedy - "Belly Songs and Other Absurdities"
KleinkunstBühne Hannover, Germany
A sewer rat that roars heavy metal, a crazy parrot singing touching pop songs, and a temperamental accountant belting out opera arias in the most beautiful classical timbre: Sabine Murza, known as Murzarella, doesn't make her puppets dance - she makes them sing, and in three different voices at an excellent level.
"How does she do it, is her voice really not from a recording?", the audience wonders. Sewer rat Kalle, a native of the Ruhr Valley and stage technician, of course knows the answer: "Nope, it comes straight from the belly of these little critters!" Parrot Dudu, on the other hand, never misses a chance to put Murzarella in embarrassing situations, gleefully chirping about her problems. Manager and accountant Mrs. Adelheid has already had a few drinks before the show and takes the stage tipsy and full of self-importance.
The puppets bask in the spotlight - but Murzarella as a rock vocalist, pop diva, and chanteuse gives it her all and won't let the show be stolen from her. In the end, everyone sings together: whether feathered, wearing a Schalke scarf with a nibbled ear, or dressed in an evening gown.
