Murzarellas - Music-Puppet-Comedy - "Bauchgesänge und andere Ungereimtheiten"

A sewer rat belting out heavy metal, a nutty cockatoo singing sentimental pop hits, and a temperamental accountant hurling opera arias in a gorgeous classical timbre - Sabine Murza, aka Murzarella, doesn't make her puppets dance. She makes them sing. In three distinct voices, at a genuinely impressive level.

"How does she do it - is her voice really live?" the audience wonders. Kalle the sewer rat, a born-and-bred Ruhr Valley lad and stage technician, knows the answer: "Naaah, it comes right outta her belly, mate!" The adorable cockatoo Dudu is no innocent either - he never misses a chance to put Murzarella in an awkward spot, chirping away about her problem areas... while manager and accountant Frau Adelheid has already had a few before the show even starts and floats onstage tipsy and thoroughly self-enamoured.

Finally in the spotlight! The confident puppets relish every moment. But the stage is Murzarella's world too - this remarkably versatile professional singer goes full throttle as a rock belter, pop diva, and chanteuse. Her puppets may push her to the edge of madness, but she won't let them steal her show. And when all the stars finally sing together - feathered, scarfed in Schalke colours with a chewed-up ear, or dressed for a gala - everyone is friends again.
