Foaie Verde - Fiery World Music

The five musicians of Foaie Verde blend traditional music from Eastern Europe and the Balkans with their own compositions. Bold rhythms and virtuosic melodies meet emotionally charged vocals, with raw energy giving way to quiet, melancholic passages.

At the heart of the ensemble are singer Katalin Horvath and violin virtuoso Sebastian Mare, joined by Vladimir Trenin (bayan), Frank Wekenmann (guitar), and Veit Hübner (double bass). The group performs its pieces in original, varied arrangements.
