Inspiration: Songs of Change

The choir "Inspiration", led by Gabriele Netal-Backöfer, has been performing across Franconia for nearly four decades. Founded in 1988 in a village near Bamberg, it quickly built a broad following. The ensemble has sung at a wide variety of events - often alongside political commemorations and interfaith gatherings. Its repertoire spans many languages and musical traditions, including original compositions. "Inspiration" has received multiple awards for its civic engagement.

The programme "Songs of Change" centres on questions of social cohesion, ecology and mutual interconnectedness. The songs are poetic, moving and often deeply spiritual. A cappella singing is regularly enriched by a variety of instruments played by choir members themselves.
