Inspiration: Songs of Change

The choir "Inspiration", led by Gabriele Netal-Backöfer, has been performing across Franconia for nearly four decades. Founded in 1988 in a village near Bamberg, the ensemble has since appeared at political commemorations, dialogue events, and interfaith gatherings, earning multiple awards for its civic engagement.

The repertoire spans many languages and musical traditions, including original compositions. The programme "Songs of Change" explores questions of social cohesion, ecology, and mutual interconnectedness. The songs are poetic and often deeply spiritual; the a cappella singing is regularly enriched by instruments played by choir members themselves.
