Oper légère - The Barber of Seville, after Gioachino Rossini
One voice, one piano, one opera
Franziska Dannheim - vocals & host
Jeong-Min Kim - piano
Franziska Dannheim and Jeong-Min Kim take Rossini's "The Barber of Seville" as the starting point for a lively, intimate opera evening for two. Dannheim, as the "opera seductress", slips into every role of Count Almaviva's amusingly scheming love plot with his Rosina - the text goes back to Beaumarchais, who sketched an exuberant self-portrait within it. In the end, everyone gets what they want. Long live "Figaro, Figaro, Fiiigaro!"
Jeong-Min Kim accompanies her on the grand piano with virtuoso playing that never makes you miss a full orchestra. The programme works for first-timers and seasoned opera-goers alike, and is suitable for the whole family.
