The year is 2070. The theatre in the Grüne Zitadelle has long since closed and now serves as a retirement home for a handful of ageing actors. Each evening they gather on the stage and relive their former glories.

It could all be rather lovely, were it not for the cantankerous carer who torments her charges not only with children's songs to clap along to, but also with musical numbers about illness, old age and death - thoroughly ruining the mood. The moment she turns her back, however, the old stage stars feel the urge to live again...
