SOMMERABEND KLASSIK with the Main-Kinzig-Kammerorchester
Soloist: Istvan Lukacs (trumpet)
Conductors: Helmuth Smola and Christoph Möller

This Sunday evening concert of the Musiktage series features music from the Viennese Classical period and Romanticism - works by C. W. Gluck, L. van Beethoven, and Benjamin Britten. The soloist of the evening is trumpeter Istvan Lukacs, performing the Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major by J. N. Hummel. Lukacs studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Frankfurt under Prof. Schuhwerk and has been a permanent member of the Aachen Symphony Orchestra since 2019.
As a soloist he has performed with the Budapest Strings and the Aachen Symphony Orchestra, among others. He also appeared as soloist at the Musiktage Hof Trages back in 2018.

Longstanding conductor and orchestra director Helmuth Smola will use this concert to hand the baton to his successor Christoph Möller, who for many years served as principal cellist of the Main-Kinzig-Kammerorchester. Möller studied cello and conducting in Frankfurt and held orchestral positions with the Frankfurter Sinfoniker and Kammeroper Frankfurt, among others. Since 1997 he has taught cello at the Musikschule Schöneck-Nidderau, where he has been director since 2017.

The MAIN-KINZIG-KAMMERORCHESTER has performed the Sunday evening concert on the park stage at Hof Trages since the very first Musiktage. The ensemble brings together music educators, experienced amateurs, and professional musicians from orchestras across the Rhine-Main region, all under the direction of Helmuth Smola.
