From the Threepenny Opera in Babylon Berlin to Broadway musicals: songs, arias, and chansons by Kurt Weill. The celebrated songwriter, Brecht collaborator, and musical composer (1900-1950) still has a treasure chest hidden under his New York and Berlin beds. And who better to sing his songs - alongside Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Nick Cave, Elvis Costello, and The Doors - than the first-prize winner of the Lotte Lenya Award from the Kurt Weill Foundation NY?

"Her mit dem Haifisch... Weill!" brings pieces from the Golden Twenties through to the 1950s, served up by three stage professionals with wit, rhythm, and swing. Annette Postel sings and guides the audience through Weill's life. Sebastian Matz accompanies on piano, Pirmin Ullrich on saxophones and clarinets.
