Philipp Weber | Power to the Popel - Democracy for Beginners

WortReich // Cabaret

Philipp Weber spins the crisis of civil society and democratic fatigue with wit and verve through the lens of humor.

In an age when politicians and their spin doctors monotonously invoke the crisis of civil society, the cabaret artist exercises the most valuable democratic virtue with his audience: humor. For whoever can regard their own thinking and actions with the necessary irony will not fall victim to their own narrow-mindedness. That is why true democrats laugh above all at one thing: themselves.
