O'MALLEY

Ireland is everywhere and always, Scotland too. Under this motto, the band O'Malley... out in the cold has been playing concert halls, festivals, pubs and all kinds of venues that can be spontaneously turned into an Irish or Scottish pub since 1984.

The lineup features multi-instrumentalist Oswald Schimek (guitar, Irish bouzouki, banjo, tin whistle, harp, bodhrán, vocals), singer Wende Weigand (vocals, guitar) and fiddler Matthias Merzbacher (fiddle, vocals). The repertoire ranges from traditional to modern Celtic folk in the O'Malley style - a sound that also draws on country, rock and blues. And sometimes a touch of Franconian flavour sneaks in too!
