Just a wooden puppet moments ago, Pinocchio is now meant to become a real boy. The woodcarver Geppetto carved him from a piece of pine wood - but when he tries to sell the figure at the market, the good fairy Antonella brings it to life on the spot.

Becoming a real boy is no easy task: you must go to school, face adventures, and above all tell the truth. That's exactly where Pinocchio struggles, especially when the cunning fox Amadeo and the forgetful cat Cerubino keep luring him into traps. Every little white lie grows right on his nose.

His journey takes him to the theatre, across golden fields and into dark corners, where he meets both treacherous characters and true friends - and in the end, while searching for Geppetto, he is swallowed by a giant whale.

Carlo Collodi's story is over a hundred years old; Christian Berg's stage adaptation tells it with poetry, wit, and specially composed melodies. Suitable for children from age 4.
