The Visit of the Old Lady

At the heart of the play is Claire Zachanassian, a billionaire who returns to her impoverished hometown after many years away. She makes the townspeople an immoral offer: unlimited wealth in exchange for a man's life. What is initially met with outrage slowly turns into an unsettling social process, as moral values begin to erode one by one.

The young ensemble brings Dürrenmatt's celebrated play to the stage with evident joy, intensity, and dark humour. The production combines strong ensemble work with atmospheric staging, making a compelling case for how relevant the play's questions remain today.
