"Delight" Poznań Boys' Choir - a cappella from Baroque to Pop

The Poznań Boys' Choir performs at Marienkirche Flensburg with an a cappella evening spanning works from Baroque to pop music. The ensemble from Poznań is regarded as a cultural ambassador of Poland and has already performed in the USA, China, and numerous European countries.

Forty singers come from Poland's only choir school and combine the powerful sound of a male choir with solo soprano voices. They are led by Dr. Jacek Sykulski, who works internationally as a conductor, composer, and arranger and has been awarded, among other honors, Poland's Golden Cross of Merit.

The programme ranges from works by Johann Michael Bach and George Frideric Handel through 13th-century melodies to motets by Rachmaninoff, Łukaszewski, and Sykulski. Also featured are folk songs from Poland and Germany as well as pop melodies in original arrangements - including music from "The Lion King" and the well-known "Ameno".
