2. Kreuzgangkonzert 2026 - LBQ & Uli Gutscher Trio
Kloster Alpirsbach, Germany
18 €
A long-standing musical friendship takes centre stage as the Ludwigsburger Blechbläser-Quintett and the Uli Gutscher Trio present their joint programme "Classic, Swing & Brass". The jazz trio swings, grooves and improvises alongside the five brass players of LBQ, drawing on works by J. S. Bach, W. A. Mozart, Duke Ellington, Dave Brubeck and other greats.
In the quieter pieces - Bach's "Air" in the style of Jacques Loussier's Play Bach, or Sting's "Moon over Bourbon Street" - the two ensembles come together in unison and improvisation with real finesse. The evening is part of the Alpirsbacher Klosterkonzerte series and promises a rich, varied live experience.
After an enthusiastic audience response in 2024, the groups have expanded and reworked the shared programme, weaving in many new ideas. Since 2009 they have repeatedly managed to bring these two high-calibre formations together at festivals and concert series, blending their different musical worlds. Joint CD recordings stand as proof of the creative spirit all eight musicians share.
