Matze Knop - "Spitzenreiter"

"SPITZENREITER" is the brand-new stage show from Matze Knop. Together with his new horse buddy, he rides boldly through the madness of everyday life - and on Thursday, 19 November 2026, at 8 p.m., he brings it all to the Bürgertreff in Schöneck-Kilianstädten. With his trademark blend of humour and irony, Matze takes on all the pitfalls and challenges of these chaotic times.
From artificial intelligence and self-checkout tills to the woes of a beleaguered SUV driver (which he is himself), from Dinkel-Dörte on her cargo bike to politicians who get tangled up in their own statements like wired earphones in a backpack.
And what would Matze be without football? Champions League or Sunday league, VAR drama or wonder goal - Matze lands every punchline as reliably as Messi converts a penalty in the final. With a sharp eye and plenty of laughs, he skewers the big and small absurdities of the world's greatest sport, with the 2026 World Cup firmly in his sights.
And of course, his unmistakable impressions can't be missing - Kloppo, Jogi, Ronaldo, Lodda and Diedää. He's got them all. The show also takes a trip into the past: Matze whisks the audience back to the 80s, 90s and 2000s - a time when we stumbled around the outdoor pool with a Leckmuschel, an Ed vom Schleck and a Walkman, no Wi-Fi but a very hungry Tamagotchi. Who doesn't remember refreshing the Teletext page or being greeted on ICQ with a cheerful "uh-ohhh!"? Back then we danced wildly and joyfully to Wham! and the Backstreet Boys; today we listen to melancholic singer-songwriters who sound like they lost the will to live before getting out of bed. Supa Richie could once use cheeky chat-up lines to win over his girl - now we just agonise over whether to swipe left or right.
