MS N° 4 - Jubilee

20 years of Close Up Night - Torsten Pahl, André Kursch and Matthieu Anatrella mark the anniversary with a special jubilee show. Over the years, the three artists have kept pushing their craft, and the challenges of that time have shaped the new acts they will perform here for the very first time.

Unlike the round-table theatre shows, there is no table here - instead, an intimate salon theatre with tiered seating for 65 guests, up to 82. The performances are conceived on a larger scale than usual, yet perfectly visible from every seat. The show takes place in the "Saal Hamburg" on the 2nd floor of the Feldschlößchen Stammhaus.

The format draws on the tradition of salon magic established by French conjurer Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin (1805-1871) in the mid-19th century with his Soirées Fantastiques at the Théâtre Robert-Houdin in the Palais Royal - elegant sleight of hand, optical illusions and mentalism for a discerning audience, performed in refined attire rather than a jester's costume.
