Chamber Concert 4 - K&K Klavierduo - Four-Hand Piano at the Highest Level — Tagungs- und Kulturzentrum PRISMA, Freiberg am Neckar

Twin sisters Kanon and Kotone Yokoyama were born in Kyoto, Japan. In 2021, they successfully completed their bachelor's degree in solo piano at Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts in Kyoto.

Since 2019, they have performed as a piano duo and won numerous awards, including first prize in the "four-hand piano" category in 2022 at the 1st International Johann Wilhelm Wilms Piano Competition, and two first prizes in the "two pianos" and "four-hand piano" categories in 2023 at the 32nd Rome International Piano Competition.

Since 2021, they have studied at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart under Professor Hans-Peter Stenzl. In 2024, they completed their master's degree with distinction and continue their studies in the concert examination for piano duo. They were recipients of the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship and have been Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now fellows since 2025. Additionally, they perform regularly every month with Live Music Now.

Works by Carl Czerny, Johann Wilhelm Wilms, Stanisław Moniuszko, and Astor Piazzolla will be performed. A special highlight will be the rarely played four-hand version of Robert Schumann's "Kinderszenen" (Scenes from Childhood).
