VOCES8 stands for vocal music at its finest. The London ensemble has shaped a cappella singing into an art form of breathtaking precision and immediate emotional impact. After their acclaimed appearances at the ION music festival, the eight singers are finally returning to Nürnberg.

In "Christmas" they span the arc from the Renaissance to the present day: works by Orlando di Lasso and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy sit alongside traditional carols and laid-back vocal jazz. Everything sounds transparent, warm and effortless - always with that blend of British charm, wit and stylistic confidence that makes Voces8 so distinctive worldwide.

The Aufseßsaal in the world-famous Germanisches Nationalmuseum is not only comfortably heated but also offers the crystal-clear acoustics of a chamber music hall, with excellent sightlines from every seat. A bar before and after the concert and during the interval invites you to drink & talk.

An event of the 75th Musikfest ION. In this anniversary year, around 30 concerts take place, including The King's Singers, Tenebrae Choir, Stegreif Orchestra, Anna Prohaska, and the "Große Nürnberger Musiknacht" opening on 19 June with Maayan Licht, Solomon's Knot and Chanticleer.
